Refreshing beverage with honey

Vitalimo Citrusmix is the perfect drink for the summer.
Especially, if you are looking for a tasty and healthy beverage that is free of additives and preservatives look no further.
We found the perfect combination of lemon and orange with a hint of honey crystal. Honey crystal is unique to this product which is made with the same technology as our other fruit crystals.
To elevate things to a completely new level, we spiced CitrusMIX up with a touch of pineapple, papaya and sea buckthorn for the summery goodness. We managed to balance out the sour flavors by adding a bit of Jerusalem artichoke.

Recommended consumption:

The recommended daily amount for adults is 1-2 tea spoonfuls (4-8g), kids 1 tea spoonfuls (2-4g) preferably in the morning before meals, taken in itself so that it can enter the bloodstream directly through the mucous membrane. It can also be taken during meals, sprinkled onto your food or mixed into your drink.
The product may cause a temporary aggravation of symptoms. Do not exceed the recommended daily amount.
For a short period of time, you might experience that symptoms might escalate. We suggest that you keep the recommended amounts.

Lemon

Its high vitamin C content is by far the most important among its wide range of benefits. It contains lots of nutrients, particularly citric acid, calcium, magnesium, bioflavonoids and pectin. These support the immune system and even helps the body fight infections. Its bioflavonoid content purifies the blood. It also regenerates and fortifies the blood vessels. Besides having vermifugal and anti-bloating effects it helps the body remove inorganic salts. It fortifies the stomach and helps remove excess water. At the same time, it is a potent bactericide, and it purifies the body and increases its pH value.

Orange

Our most important delicacy and vitamin source of all citrus fruits during the dark winter months; its natural vitamin C is more efficacious than the vitamin C taken in tablets. Albert Szent-Györgyi said that since vitamin C comes with bio-flavonoids in citrus fruits, it has a more substantial and longer lasting effect. These micronutrients are precious antioxidants at the same time, affording a measure of protection against degenerative diseases, such as cancer and various heart diseases.
Orange contains lots of vitamins A and B as well. Vitamin A helps keep your vision sharp and skin healthy, while vitamin B is indispensable in carbohydrate and fat metabolism. It has been observed to help the functioning of the pancreas, along with absorption after digestion and ease constipation with its high fibre content. Have some oranges to help your kidney because it facilitates the removal of excess water. Oranges will also boost your immune system and alleviate high blood pressure. The rutin it contains has a favourable effect on the heart and the circulatory system while some sources note that its antioxidants (flavonoids, carotenoids and limonoids) help prevent the development of tumour cells.

Honey

Multi-flower honey is definitely recommended for children and the elderly to boost their immune system and to prevent and treat contagious respitory diseases. Multi-flower honeys, as opposed to mono-flower honeys, are much more complex and effective of a solution fighting pulmonary diseases. Since multi-flower honeys are made from multiple different herbs’ nectar, the effects may vary depending on the mixture.

Pineapple

Pineapple is one of the healthiest exotic fruits thanks to its high vitamin content. Since it contains high amount of vitamins A, B, C, along with folic acid, potassium, fruit acids, and fibers, according to some studies, pineapple can boost the immune system and make the body more resistant.

Papaya

A sweet-tasting, soft fruit of a fine flavour, which Christopher Columbus called the “fruit of angels”.
This is a very juicy fruit, with a 90% water content. It contains an enzyme called papain along with other useful enzymes, nearly 20 different types of amino-acids, vitamins B, C and E, along with calcium and iron. It contains lots of vitamin C and even more vitamin A.
Its fleshy parts contain a milk-like substance from which an enzyme called papain is extracted. Papain is used as a meat softener and also in medicine, in the production of digestive medications. All parts of the papaya plant are used in medicine. Papaya is used in the treatment of digestive disorders, for instance, enabling perfect digestion even for people suffering from gastric acid deficiency. The digestive enzyme called pepsin, in the human stomach, cannot properly function without gastric acid (hydrochloric acid). For those producing excess gastric acid papaya puts an end to heartburn as a natural antacid agent. Papaya is superb for people suffering from diabetes. It helps those on a diet and alleviates digestion problems (e.g. constipation, gastric hypoacidity, bloating). Papaya is excellent in treatments of problems with gall and liver too.

Csicsóka

Csicsóka a téli és a kora tavaszi időszakban kiváló tápanyagraktár és forrás a szervezetünk számára. Tartalmaz káliumot, magnéziumot, kalciumot, foszfort, vasat és cinket, valamint B1-, B2-, B3- és C-vitamint. És hogy, mi az az inulin? Az inulin vízben oldódó élelmi rost, mely számos növényben (cikória, vöröshagyma, fokhagyma, gyermekláncfű, közönséges bojtorján, agave, endívia, articsóka) megtalálható, de a leggazdagabb inulin forrás a csicsóka. Az inulin egy olyan összetett szénhidrátvegyület, amely a szervezet nem képesek lebontani, tehát bontatlanul halad át az emésztőrendszeren. Csak a vastagbél baktériumflórája kezdi bontani, így jótékonyan hozzájárul a bélműködés elősegítéséhez (lágyítja a székletet). Az inulin tartalmú élelmiszerek flatulenciát (bélgázképződést, szelet, puffadást) okozhatnak. A rost hatására mérséklődik a cukorfelszívódás, ritkábbak a vércukor ingadozások, így a cukorbetegek számára is ajánlott. Rosttartalma miatt pedig diéta idejére is javasolt – diétázóknak, fogyókúrázóknak, aktív sportolóknak. Bélflóra helyreállító hatása is közismert, mely antibiotikumos kezelések alkalmával, valamint gyomor vagy bél eredetű panasz esetén fogyasztása fokozottan célravezető. Jótékony hatása van a máj, a lép és a hasnyálmirigy működésére, sőt rákellenes (mellrák) hatása is ismert. Vérnyomás, koleszterin és triglicerid-szint csökkentő hatása miatt pedig szív- és érrendszeri betegségek megelőzésére is ajánlott.

Sea buckthorn berries are particularly rich in vitamin C — they pack 10 times the amount of vitamin C as a lemon. It also contains vitamin A, malic acid, mannitol, flavonoids, carbon-hydrates, proteins, organic acids, amino acids, vitamins – this is how this little berry makes the natural resistance of our body more efficient.
